Hey Everyone,

Curls has recently added a few new hair products to their lineup, such as the Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Paste, which launched towards the end of 2014. And most recently,  the Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Jelly which launched this past January.

The Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Jelly product is a curl defining styler that is formulated with certified organic Blueberry extract and Hydrogenated Castor Oil that is "used to defrizz, define, hold and create curls in place with impeccable sheen".  I was recently given the opportunity to try the product out and put it to the test, so let's get into it.

Before we get into the review and hairstyling demo, let's talk about Blueberries!!! I'm sure you're asking, "Why Blueberries"? Well....they are not only a super food, which makes them good for our health, but they are also full of vitamins and nutrients that are extremely beneficial to our hair and scalp.  Check out a few of those benefits below.

Now, that you know a little more about the benefits of blueberries for the hair, let's talk about the product.  The Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Jelly is a styling product that is Sulfate, Silicone, Paraben Free and doesn't have any artificial oils, colors, or fragrances. Again this is a styler so it should be used to style and set the hair.  It seems to be ideal for a wash'n'go as it can be scrunched, racked, or smoothed into the hair and allowed to dry to get great curl definition.

I actually used the product as a styler for my twist-out.  I really wanted to see if I could achieve great definition without my hair becoming hard and overly dry. The product has a jelly consistency, so it applied rather smoothly to the hair and a little bit goes a long way, so there is no need to overly apply the product. Oh and the product smells amazing! Had my hair smelling lovely!

Check out the Review and Styling Demonstration Below:

So as you saw in the video, my twists set rather easily and my hair felt soft.  I did achieve some curl definition with the product, my hair had a lot of body and smelled amazing; however, as the day went on my hair seemed to become a bit dry and that evening I did have to re-wet my hair to reactive the product and re-twist it.  That time I did apply some coconut oil to my hair to lock in moisture and that yielded better results for me.  My hair remained soft the entire day and maintained great curls and sheen.

All in all, this is a good product!  It provided curl definition with a slight hold, it is full of blueberries extract which has a lot of great benefits for the hair, its not full of harsh ingredients, and is a great alternative to using gel as a styler. If you plan to use this for a twist-out or braid-out type of style, I would suggest coupling it with an oil to lock in moisture, so you can have great 2nd and 3rd day hair without much maintenance.

Okay guys.....that's it.  I hope you enjoyed this product review and demo. If you have tried this product, we want to hear from you. Let us know your thoughts below.  Make sure you go visit Curls at www.Curls.biz to purchase this product or see where you can find it locally. Until Next Time,

Take Care & God Bless
