**Product Review**Q-Redew Hand Held Hair Steamer
by Sumetra Reed
Have you ever wanted a more stretched twist out but didn't want to use heat? Well, according to the Q-Redew website, creating a blowout look can be achieved with using their handheld steamer.
What is Q-Redew?
"The Q-Redew is a handheld hair steamer that quickly restores moisture, rejuvenates and reshapes hair using warm steam as mist. Used on dry hair it revives in minutes and leaves
hair dry." - Q-Redew
After looking at the web site, I was excited to see all the various benefits of using the Q-Redew. Not only that, but for only $69.95 it's worth the shot.
So, I had to give it a try to see if it would work on my hair. I was rocking a 5 day old flat twist out and I wanted to re-twist my hair to achieve a stretched, more elongated body wave look. Here's the catch, I didn't want to have to re-wash, re-wet or add any additional product.
I had pretty high expectations going in. Here's what I was looking for the Q-Redew to help me accomplish:
1. Easy Detangling Process - I wanted to see if the steamer would allow me to easily detangle my hair without having to use any additional tools. I like to finger detangle to prevent any extra damage to my hair from using combs & brushes.
2. Moisture - Since I didn't want to add any water or additional products, I wanted to see if the steamer would provide enough moisture to my hair in order for me to achieve the definition I wanted for my loose waves.
3. Decreased Dry Time - Normally I have to apply water and possibly a small amount of product when setting my hair for a loose/stretched twist out. That means I may run into the issue of my hair not being dry at take down the next morning. I really wanted to see if the steamer would provide the moisture w/out the risk of having wet hair at take down.
I am pleased to announce that the Q-Redew met my expectations and I was able to achieve my loose waves using only the Q-Redew handheld steamer!
