Q: What were your reasons for going natural?

A: I went natural because I needed a change. My hair was damaged and would not grow past my shoulders. When I went natural, I didn’t even know that I was “transitioning”. I grew my relaxer out and cut the ends over time.

Q: How did you transition (or did you BC)?

A: I transitioned for a whopping 24 months!!

Q: What emotional struggles, if any, have you faced since going natural?

A: In the beginning I had no idea what to do with my hair. I went to my stylist every 2 weeks. It was emotional because I wanted to be able to do styles myself. Eventually I learned and was confident in styling my own hair.

Q: What's your go-to style?

A: My go to style is definitely a high bun. Its so low manipulation and I don’t have to touch my hair at all. Being a new mom is busy and sometimes I just don’t have time to do my infamous twist and curl!

Q: What’s your favorite product and why?

A: Favorite Product right now is edenbodyworkscoconut shea curl defining crème because it gives me the best defined twistouts!

Q: What piece of advice would you share with someone who is just starting out?

A: Patience is keyCant stress that enough. Its all about trial and error and finding what products and styles work best for you. Don’t give up, it just takes time! Be you be beautiful and live Happily Ever Natural!
